It’s almost September and here in Ventura a noticeable shift has taken place. The air is cooler and slowly can we begin to pack away our summer clothes and begin hanging in our closets the comfortable fashions of fall. Unfortunately here we won’t experience sweater weather for some time, but it is exciting to recognize that as fall approaches a new season is beginning – a season to renew ourselves and, best yet, our wardrobes.
One way I am transitioning from summer to fall is with maxi dresses – especially heaver-weighted ones like this floral piece from Pinkblush. I have always loved Pinkblush’s line of womens fashions because of their affordability and multi-use design. I appreciate a brand that provides women with choices from maternity, women’s, and even plus size fashions all in their iconic dress designs and patterns. Earlier in the season I shared this striped midi-dress and I wore it all summer long. Now as we head into fall I was in need of a fun full maxi that provides coverage and comfortability without looking like everything else in my closet.
The Perfect Transitional Maxi Dress
This dress is one of their popular tie-wrap maxis and when it arrived at my doorstep I couldn’t wait to find a reason to wear it! The colors are beautiful and the floral pinks and blues make for a wonderful option for late summer/ early autumn. It’s a heavier weight, which helps on these frequent windy and chillier days (such as the day we took these photos!), and the wrap design helps keep me covered and comfortable. I can easily wear this maxi formally or a casual day in Santa Barbara. And the best part is, this same dress is available whether pregnant or not and can easily transcend those life moments, making it a piece worthy of an investment.
So if you haven’t already, I encourage all of you to check out Pinkblush and their amazing line of maternity and women’s fashions and accessories. I’ve been a loyal customer ever since I was pregnant with Greyson and even my European capsule wardrobe is directly from Pinkblush (post to come!). There’s a little something for everyone and it’s always exciting to see what new additions make it into their shop.
What is inspiring your wardrobe as we head into fall?
