Wedding Preparation 101 + Minted Credit Giveaway

Although it may not feel like it back on the east coast, spring is right around the corner and that typically means weddings, everything babies, graduations, and so on. This time last year I was knee deep in wedding planning and was attempting to pull this off in a six month time frame. I should also mention that I was teaching full time and juggling both responsibilities, which wasn’t an easy task.

Wedding Preparation 101: Save the Dates, Invitations, and other important prints

Let me set the scene…
My husband and I got engaged last October and were looking to have a June 2014 wedding in Las Vegas. We chose Vegas early on in our relationship as the perfect destination for our hypothetical wedding and were so excited to actually be planning it.

So, not only was this wedding date approaching quickly, it was also a destination wedding. This meant that we had to have our save the dates, official invitations, ceremony programs, and thank you cards ready to go meanwhile staying within our set budget.

How did we manage to get all of those equally important tasks done in enough time? Minted.

My husband let me take control over these details because he was busy calling the wedding salon in Vegas and making other big decisions such as our ceremony and music requests, choice of flowers, organizing the restaurant details, etc. You know, no big deal. Besides, creating these cards were effortless since Minted features many talented independent artists whose creations are exclusive to Minted.

Better yet, Minted provides you with FREE, yes free, recipient address printing, which I cannot even begin to describe how much time it saves. So, not only do you get the convenience of shopping online, but you also get professional quality prints for a great price.

If you’re one of the thousands of ladies preparing for your upcoming wedding this year I highly recommend using Minted for your all of your wedding print needs.

  • That is SO awesome that they print the recipient addresses! I'm getting married in November and have been researching Save the Dates and Invitations. I've been dreading having to write out all those addresses. Minted is a little more than the other sites I was looking into, but maybe it would be worth it for that! Plus, maybe I'll win the credit! Thanks for hosting the giveaway.

  • We are getting married in NC. Hopefully the weather will be nice by then 🙂

  • Printing the recipient addresses for free is huge!! My mom and I calligraphied all my invite's envelopes in one evening, and altho we had fun, it took so much time! Also minted has such pretty designs! So glad you posted this on the peony project post for the week! 🙂

  • NC is beautiful and spring time will be even more picturesque. You better share photos! 🙂

  • It's HUUUUGE life saver and not to mention, time saver. The calligraphy is beautifully written and it’s nice to have one tedious task taken off the list of things to get done. I also recommend investing in a rubber address stamp if you haven’t already. I also agree that Minted can get expensive quickly, even if you’re not purchasing anything wedding related. However, I see it as investing in a quality product that they get right the first time. I would pay for that convenience any day!
And you’re quite welcome and good luck!!

  • That’s awesome! There is something to be said for handwritten invitations because, well, you don’t see it that often anymore. Plus it adds an intimate touch for your guests. Welcome, fellow peony! Thanks for stopping by and visiting my little blog 🙂 I’ll be sure to follow you as well!

  • That’s alright! It’s not a prerequisite to be married or getting married to enjoy Minted! I’m glad you’ve discovered it! I’ve used it for my wedding, moving announcements, and just recently a New Years holiday card 🙂

  • YES IT IS. There’s no way around the expense of it all and I know just the printed materials alone can cost you so much out of your wedding budget.
