What I’m Wearing | My Favorite Minimalist Jewelry

I’ve never really been into jewelry – true story. However, I did go through a little phase a few years ago where I was really into costume statement jewelry in attempts to broaden my style and go outside of my comfort zone. Since I consider my overall style to be modest and classic, my jewelry choices are very much the same. However, much like anything in fashion – and cue Heidi Klum – one day something is in and the next day it’s out – and statement jewelry was definitely on the out.

In the last few years I’ve since given away or donated my inexpensive pieces and have only held on to my real ones that are important to me – like my Tiffany’s pearls gifted from the husband on our wedding day. Nowadays I am all about minimalistic jewelry – those simple gold or silver pieces that have subtle details or a pop of color. I’ve found that regardless of what’s on trend, minimalistic pieces are classic and will always look good no matter what you’re wearing.

The Engravable Bar Necklace

My two main pieces that I can never do without are my Stella and Dot engraved bar necklace and my gold cross necklace. When I was pregnant with Greyson I knew I wanted something with his name engraved on it so I ordered their Signature Engravable Bar Necklace. You can choose between three finishes: gold, rose gold, and silver – I chose gold – and is made of gold plated brass. I’ve always struggled with my skin turning green with fake jewelry and I love that I don’t ever have to worry about that with Stella and Dot. In addition, this bar necklace is the perfect size making layering possible with pieces I already own.

Speaking of layering…

Cross Necklace

My second favorite piece is Stella and Dot’s gold Interlock Cross Necklace. I first saw this piece when a friend of mine, and co-worker at the school I worked at, bought one for her niece as a gift when celebrating their first communion. I found this necklace to be so delicate and subtle that I knew I had to get my hands on one myself. Since having it I proudly wear it and have found many ways to pair it with other necklaces I own and receive many compliments about them.

Shop My Look

I’ve never truly loved any two pieces more than these. I’ve worn them countless times – always choose to wear them when traveling – and I find they’ve been a classic addition to my wardrobe. What’s better than that?

Become a Stylist

Although I’m not personally a stylist, I have many friends and mamas who love their Stella and decided to become stylists themselves. I love being able to go to my friends and either ask a question about certain pieces, ask about upcoming sales or trunk shows, and even put in orders. Ordering from friends is so much easier AND I know I get to help support them and their own side hustle goals with Stella & Dot. Win, win! Besides, why not sell the jewelry you love and get perks in the process?

What are you loving jewelry wise? Any Stella & Dot favorites?
