One | The Side Hustle

OMG it’s been a super busy week for me…online, that is. Little Fox Lettering Co has been bouncing around hosting sites – from Etsy to trying to sell on my Facebook Page. Both were super frustrating and extremely limiting in terms of sharing it out and getting noticed. So one day I went to Pinterest to do some homework on other e-commerce hosting sites and came across Shopify. I read up on it and decided to take the leap of faith and I am so happy I did.

It took some time setting everything up at first, but I love how user friendly it is. Within a day or so I was able to customize everything the way I liked, upload products, and have an efficient way to run my small online lettering business. They give you a bunch of tools and resources to help get you off the ground and so far I really enjoy how effortless it is to manage and share.

So, if you have a moment I would love for you to pop over to my new site – officially – and tell me what you think! I would love to receive some feedback, which will help me make it even better. And if you’re so inclined, you can sign up for our Little Fox mailing list and receive an instant 10% off your next order. Just a little thank you for your support!

Two | Hair Inspirations

On Saturday I am going in for my first haircut and color in moooonths. My original stylist is out due to her health concerns and so it’s been a long road trying to find my next favorite stylist at our salon. It’s funny how one needs to build a relationship with their stylist before taking on certain hairstyles. I am looking to cut my hair and eventually work back to my original pixie cut from before I was pregnant, but I want to start off with something simple.

What do you think about this style and color?

Three | A Childhood Favorite

Who knew overalls would become stylish again? I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me considering the 90s are making a comeback (i.e. light wash and high waisted jeans, Adidas sneakers, and tube tops, haha) in a big way.

I used to wear overalls a lot when I was in elementary school – Levi’s, of course. But these black overalls look so adorable – I requested a similar style in my next Dia & Co box! I can’t say enough about this service and in all three boxes I’ve received so far I’ve found at least one new piece to add to my closet (sculpt in jeans is ahhhhmazing, BTW). It’s crazy that anything above a size 10 is considered plus sized, but nonetheless it’s nice to find clothes that fit, look stylish, and give me confidence all season long.

Feel free to use my referral link to try it out for yourself! It’s free to sign up and the styling fee is only $20 – but guess what? It gets applied to whatever you purchase anyways. So take a leap of fashion faith and give it a try!

Any 90s trends you’ve noticed making a comeback with these younger ‘kids’?

Four | Better, Safer Beauty

I’ve officially begun making my switch from my old skincare and cosmetic products to Beautycounter. Have you heard of this brand before? A friend, and mom at my old school, is a founding member and managing director for Beautycounter and right around when Greyson was born I won a few different products via a giveaway and fell absolutely in love. Now, I have a number of Beautycounter products and just recently ordered Dew Skin, which is a tinted moisturizer with SPF 20! During the summer I keep my makeup routine light and I am always in the sun, so having something that protects my skin and evens out my skin tone is a huge plus!

I never knew how many toxic chemicals and other ingredients go into most skincare and cosmetic products – and even moreso how it’s legal! Beautycounter’s CEO is very active in advocating for healthier skincare

and stronger U.S. regulations on what ingredients should be used. Our skin is such an important muscle on our bodies – that absorbs everything! – and we should be more aware of what goes on it.

I’m not a consultant or work in any way for the company. I just love sharing brands that I personally use and that endorses overall healthy living. Be sure to get in touch with Kristine who would be happy to show you around and make some great recommendations as well as tell you more about the company!

Five | Newest Streaming Obsession

I’ve been using Sling now for a little while (thanks, 7 day free trial!) and I love their streaming platform. Considering I already have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu, and through my Amazon Prime membership I get the T.V. streaming as well. The only fallback for me personally is my obsession with Bravo. Yes, The Real Housewives, Shahs of Sunset, and now Sweet Home Oklahoma are my trashy T.V. guilty pleasures. Because we don’t have cable I’ve always purchased season passes to these shows on iTunes at around $20 a season. Not too bad, but considering Bravo runs most of these shows at the same time it was costing me a pretty penny.

Sling is amazing because for $25 a month (depending on all the packages you get) I get Bravo and a bunch of other channels where I can live stream or have access to the current season’s episodes – and sometimes an entire series. So, it was an easy choice for me and my obsession with reality T.V.

What are your T.V. guilty pleasures?

I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Today is our local Food Truck Friday so you can imagine my excitement and tomorrow, like I mentioned before, I’m really looking forward to getting a new hairstyle. What are your weekend plans?

Linking up with Erika, Katie, and April.
